Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank Much Ado 5
Through the financial support of Deutsche Bank, over 10,000 young people came to see Much Ado About Nothing on the Globe stage free of charge. Designed specifically to support pupils at Key Stage 3, over 1,200 London students took part in workshops with Globe Education practitioners before seeing a full scale, professional performance. New for 2008 was the opportunity for the public to see the final performance of this run for free – aptly named Much Ado for Nothing. The project had the backing of patrons comprising actors and artists who endorse the work that Globe Education is doing. They include Derek Jacobi, Joseph Fiennes, Grayson Perry, Jemma Redgrave and Josie Lawrence.
